The South Australian Aviation Museum displays aircraft and aircraft engines of relevance to South Australiaand aviation in Australia. It is also the home of the Defence Science and Technology Organisation's heritage rocket collection. It is located in Port Adelaide, South Australia.

The Museum's origins can be traced to 1984 when it was started by a group of enthusiasts interested in aviation history and aircraft restoration. In 1990 it became the official aviation museum for South Australia when it was awarded Provisional Accreditation by the History Trust of South Australia. The following year it became responsible for the State's historical aviation collection.

In 1996 the Museum became the home of the heritage rocket collection associated with the Woomera Test Range in the period 1950-1980. The heritage rocket collection is the property of the Australian Defence Science and Technology Organisation.

The fishing from Arno Bay Jetty, just 50 metres from the park, is also a good place to try your luck. Our tourist park offers campers the ability to reserve sites prior to their arrival. Our sites are organised by van size to maximize the safety and comfort of all campers.Our staff will allocate the best suited site for your camping needs to make your stay with us as enjoyable as possible. On site, we have a small kiosk where you can purchase fishing tackle, crab nets, bait, drinks, ice creams, ice and oysters etc. State and local papers are available for purchase daily.

Crab nets and crab rakes are available for hire.

We supply you with a Cowell brochure, which has a town and district map with all the information in and around Cowell. We also stock harbour maps, weather charts and tide times, this is all part of our service.
